Community Conservation Officer

Required by Alabaré Christian Care & Support “Environment In Mind” funded by Mind & Big Lottery.
To provide a service for adults with mental health issues to get better access to “community based” opportunities: learning new skills; obtaining a qualification; providing an opportunity to increase confidence, independence and self worth, as well as enabling service-users to work with other disadvantaged and ethnic minority groups in various communities.
To make a difference to people’s lives and the countryside.
To support service users to learn countryside accredited skills like dry stone walling and riverbank clearance.
An understanding of working with minority and disadvantaged groups as well as knowledge of conservation is preferable.
7 hrs per week, working Mondays, Grade 6 post : £8.79 - £9.71 per hour. Salisbury based, but working in various rural areas stretched across Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.
Must be a car driver, with use of own reliable car and prepared to train to drive a minibus.
